2011 Tournament Announced

The 2nd Annual Gettysburg 19th Century Base Ball Tournament will take place July 16 and 17, 2011 once again at Hickory Hollow Farm in Gettysburg, PA. The 2nd edition of the tournament will feature 9 clubs from all over the United States. Defending champion, the Talbot Fair Plays from Easton, Maryland return to defend their crown. The host clubs, the Elkton Eclipse and the Cecil Club of Chesapeake City round out the Maryland contingent. The Flemington Neshanock also return from last year. New clubs coming to Gettysburg in 2011 include the Saginaw Old Golds from Saginaw, Michigan; the Mudville Nine from Holliston, Massachussets; the Huntington Champion Hill Toppers from Huntington, Indiana; the Cincinnati Buckeyes from Ohio; and the Colorado Vintage Base Ball Association from Denver, Colorado. In addition, the Mechanicsburg Nine from nearby Mechanicsburg, PA will also be playing with the field on Sunday.  Once again, there are sponsorship opportunities available. Last year, over 1,500 people attended the tournament including President Lincoln, General Grant and General Lee.
