The 3rd Annual Gettysburg 19th Century Base Ball Festival is gearing up for its return on July 21 and 22, 2012. The field has been expanded to 12 clubs which is double the original amount in 2010. So far as of November 9,10 clubs are confirmed including the host Elkton Eclipse. Other participants include the 2010 champion Talbot Fair Plays from Maryland and the 2011 Champion Saginaw Old Golds from Michigan as well as the Flemington Neshanock from New Jersey, the Mechanicsburg Nine and Somerset Frosty Sons of Thunder from Pennsylvania, the Rochester Grangers and Wahoo BBC of Royal Oak from Michigan, the Indianapolis Blues from Indiana, the Melrose Pondfelders from Massachussetts, and the Genesee Valley Club from Mumford, New York.
Each club will play 2 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. The primary sponsor is once again Gettysburg Eddies who we are so greatful to yet again.
